We are really excited about the imaging program that IWG has developed as part of the 2026 AIC + CAC Annual Meeting in Montreal.

Wed, April 29 (9am - 4pm EST) "Multiband Imaging: Getting Started and Ramping Up" Pre-conference Workshop – SOLD OUT

    • A pre-conference workshop focused on getting started with multiband imaging and expanding capabilities based on equipment and setup. The first half includes a panel discussion with panelists representing different institutions and media specialties to share their experiences and setups. The second half includes a hands-on component with demonstrations and the opportunity to test equipment and setups

Thurs, April 30 (12:15 – 2pm EST) Imaging Tips Lunch Session

    • There are still spaces to register for the lunch! Onsite meeting registration includes one programmed lunch.

    • This lunch session will include informal tips, tricks, and tools for practical, inexpensive, and creative hacks and solutions to help overcome imaging challenges. This session is for conservators across specialty groups, imaging specialists, scientists, and more who are interested in and use imaging as part of their conservation work.

Fri, May 1 (7-8pm EST) IWG Gathering at Le Central West Shefford / West Shefford Brewing Co. (https://www.brasseursdewestshefford.ca/visite)

    • IWG mostly gathers on Zoom, so this is a great opportunity to meet in person! This will be an informal Happy Hour at a local restaurant in Montreal. You don't need to be an IWG member to join, and you are more than welcome to bring a friend.

Sat, May 2 (4-5 pm EST) Imaging Session

    • "Silver Mirroring: Documentation and Quantification Utilizing Polarized Imaging" -- Diane Knauf,  David Messinger

    • "Innovative Digitization of Traditional Astronomical Photos to Preserve the Work of Pioneering Women" -- Michael Toth, Debora Mayer, Thom Burns

    • "CT Scanning Applications at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston" -- Adrienne Gendron, Meghan Abercrombie, Abigail Hykin, Dr. Jared Katz, Evelyn (Eve) Mayberger

There are other imaging talks and posters throughout the program that may even include IWG members! If you are presenting, please let us know and we can try to gather additional presentations to share with the group.

We hope to see several of you at the end of the month in Montreal!
