As President of R.B. Toth Associates, Mike leads and manages advanced digitization projects to provide data and images of cultural heritage objects for global access. For over 25 years he has led digitization teams working to integrate advanced technical imaging solutions in archives and libraries around the globe. This includes programs to provide free access to information unseen by the human eye, including undertexts in the Archimedes, Syriac Galen and HMML Palimpsests, US Civil War soldiers’ graffiti, and manuscripts documents, maps, globes and other artifacts. He has provided the planning, integration and management needed for efficient advanced imaging and data access with optical and x-ray systems, including multispectral and x-ray fluorescence. As a consultant, Mike provides input on the integration of digitization across institutions, including advanced imaging based on his global survey of activities in this field.
