I am working with an artist who is interested in creating a public artwork with a printing process that can withstand the rigors of a hospital environment. He is interested in dye sublimation and direct printing onto Corian or other durable substrate. I am also concerned about the light stability of the printing processes, which can be variable depending on many factors including the "inks" used, the colors selected, the equipment used, and the company carrying out the printing.
If the artist is able to supply a sample, does anyone offer MFT as a service? If you know of anyone who does this, please get in touch!
