Kristie is an accredited conservator and conservation scientist with over 25 years of leadership across all aspects of heritage preservation and collection management.
She served as Head of Conservation for MOTAT in Auckland NZ, Head of Preventive Conservation for Oxford University Library Services and most recently as National Conservator, Conservation Science for the National Trust UK. Her specific work interests include environmental monitoring, analysis and research and specialises in colour theory and measurement inclusive of microfading.
Kristie is passionate about advocacy for conservation and is accredited through ICON where she also volunteers as a CPD Reader and Mentor. She served as President of the NZCCM, New Zealand Conservators of Cultural Material - Pu Manaaki Kahurangi, where she chaired the membership committee.
