Welcome! How to Use this Community

    Hi all,

I'm happy to welcome the 900+ attendees that have registered thus far for our conference! This community is your place to connect with others, and where we welcome our AIC and CAC member attendees, international attendees, speakers, volunteers, staff, and exhibitors. As we get closer to the conference, you'll find ways to connect for informal meet-ups, rideshares, groups events, and more. This is also where our conference organizers will share helpful information over the coming months.

It may be easier to navigate this community using our website instead of email. You can find a direct link to the community on our Attendees page, where we also have tips for attendees, speakers, and those attending virtually instead of in Montreal. (That page also has an amazing Local Guide, created by our CAC colleague from Montreal.) https://www.culturalheritage.org/events/annual-meeting/current-meeting/attendees

You gain automatic access to this community after registering for the meeting. It's a "self-moderated" community, which means posts go through immediately and aren't closely monitored by staff or meeting organizers. However, digests come out in the morning, so if you post and spot an error, you can use the Reply button to find the option "Mark as Inappropriate". This will place your message in moderation, where you can request edits or just ask staff to delete so you can try again. We can also help you edit your post - but only the same day! Digests are pulled around 5am ET, so after that point, the message has gone out.

This is a community for you, so don't worry too much. We encourage you to use this online place to make your experience great.

    Thanks,

    Bonnie
