Katharine Untch has over 30 years experience in the conservation of three-dimensional art, architectural and archaeological materials with particular strengths in conservation strategies, management and funding, project management, analysis, treatment design, and hands-on applications. A Fellow of the American Institute for Conservation, she has extensive experience with preventive and sustainable conservation, collections in historic buildings, outdoor sculpture, monuments and architectural elements as well as a variety of materials in both interior and exterior contexts. Having served as the AIC Board Director of Professional Education, and as Project Specialist at the Getty Conservation Institute, she expanded education and learning opportunities for conservators nationally and internationally.
