Sonya Barron is a conservator at the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), specializing in book conservation. She has previously worked at Iowa State University Library in Ames, the Huntington Library in San Marino, CA and at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington DC. She started her journey in the conservation profession at the Arizona State Museum, University of Arizona in the field of archaeological and ethnographic materials. Sonya is a graduate of the University of Texas graduate program in library and archives conservation. She is a Professional Member of AIC and currently serves as a co-chair for the AIC's Emergency Committee.
