Jennifer Waxman, born and raised in New Orleans, currently holds the position of Head of Collection Management in Tulane University Special Collections department. Prior to working at Tulane University, she worked at the National WWII Museum, the Center for Jewish History, New York University Libraries, and the Museum of Modern Art. She received her bachelor’s degree in history from Barnard College and her master’s degree in history and archival management from New York University. Jennifer currently serves as the Co-Chair of the New Orleans Preservation Coalition, a group focused on advocacy and education in disaster response, and preservation of culture and heritage in the city.
