Biography

A graduate of the University of Virginia (BA) and the Institute of Archaeology at University College London (MA, MSc), I have worked both on archaeological sites and within small and large institutions. Following graduation, I served as a project objects conservator at the Brooklyn Museum, where I treated works from across the encyclopedic collection, including archaeological, ethnographic, and decorative arts materials. From 2016 to 2019, I was Assistant Conservator of Objects at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, contributing to the care of decorative arts and folk art collections. Since 2019, I have been the Conservator of Archaeological Materials at Colonial Williamsburg, overseeing the preservation and treatment of a collection of more than 60 million artifacts. The archaeological conservation lab focuses on stabilizing and studying metals, glass, ceramics, and organics recovered from ongoing excavations that deepen our understanding of Williamsburg’s past.
