My current role as a fine art specialist for PURE Art Services is focused on preservation management. My team offers comprehensive collection management services inclusive of preventive conservation, risk assessment, inventory & database management; and disaster planning & response. As a subsidiary of an insurance company I also consult/work directly on claims involving collections; and respond nationally to disasters.
MSLIS from Simmons University, concentration in cultural heritage informatics. My degree focused on special collections/collection management with particular interest in preservation, preventive conservation, and disaster response. Prior to completing the degree in 2022 I worked for 10+ years with fine art and rare books & materials, as a conservation technician and project manager. Additionally, I've pursued continuing education in bookbinding, book arts, and conservation since 2012 through apprenticeship in Munich, Germany, as well as the North Bennet Street School and the Center for Book Arts. I have a BFA in visual art from Mason Gross School of the Arts.
