Bob Crozier founded Crozier Fine Arts in 1976 and developed it into six departments: trucking, international freight forwarding, crating, storage, and art handling, adding the decorative arts department in 2017.
In 2010, as Chair of the ICEFAT Storage Best Practices Panel, he created a standardized manual for art handler training programs. The manual covered materials, techniques, and equipment, formalizing the lexicon to improve communication, and including the requirements for a facility to define itself as fine art storage. The art handler instruction sessions were also presented to insurance companies interested in the care of fine art collections.
He developed the digital 5-category condition report app for cell phone use in the field by art handlers in the commercial fine art shipping and storage industry.
After selling Crozier Fine Arts, he embarked on a new initiative, ARTFIT 3D, an innovative system for the protection of three-dimensional objects. By marrying 3d scanning with CNC machines, he has been able to automate the milling of cavity packs and custom brace packing for transport and archival storage.
