I hold both a Master’s degree and a PhD in Conservation and Restoration, with a specialization in photography, and I have worked with photographic materials throughout my career.
My research has focused on plastic-based photographic materials and colour photography. Since completing my PhD, I have concentrated on the preservation of colour slide-based artworks, examining their long-term stability, colour change, and time-based media characteristics. This work contributes to the development of best practices for the preservation and display of these complex and vulnerable objects.
I currently serve as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Conservation, where I teach photograph conservation, colour measurement, and photographic documentation. My ongoing research continues to explore colour and film-based photographic materials in order to improve strategies for their long-term storage and display.
