Biography

Marianne Kelsey has over 20 years of experience in the conservation field. She has served as a staff member at the University of Iowa Book Conservation Lab, the State Historical Society of Iowa and Etherington Conservation Services. In her Greensboro, North Carolina-based conservation lab, Marianne treats works of art on paper including pastels, watercolors, acrylics, gouache, as well as printed artworks such as lithographs, mezzotint, aquatint, serigraphs, engravings, and woodblock prints. Kelsey also conserves vellum/parchment manuscripts and bound materials such as rare books and bound family heirlooms including scrapbooks and bibles. Kelsey also serves as Communications Coordinator for the Southeast Regional Conservation Association's Board of Directors.
