Jeanne Brako, Conservator/Curator, began her career as a high school art conservation intern at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY, NY and the Heye Foundation, NY, NY in the mid-1970s. Ms. Brako received a BA in Art History from Reed College followed by an MA and Certificate in Art Conservation from NYU's Institute of Fine Arts. Her career in the museum field has spanned over thirty years and has included the position of Conservator at the University of Denver, Rocky Mountain Conservation Center, Denver, CO; Director of Collections Services at the Colorado Historical Society, Denver, CO; and Curator of Collections and Public Programs at Fort Lewis College. Parallel to those positions she operated Art Conservation Services of Colorado through 2018. She now provides museum consultations, art conservation treatments and training for numerous organizations through Museum Consultants of Santa Fe.
