Biography

Emily B. Frank is an objects conservator. She trained in conservation in the joint MS/MA in Conservation of Artistic & Historic Works and History of Art & Archaeology at the Conservation Center of the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University (NYU) and the MA in Principles of Conservation at the Institute of Archaeology, University College London (UCL). She holds a PhD from the Institute for Study of the Ancient World at NYU. Emily is an objects conservator at the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum and the founding and principal conservator at Emily B. Frank Conservation, LLC. Emily works on a wide range of objects and materials; her professional and academic interests center around research in conservation.
