Access

Live Sessions or Workshops

The quickest way to access the meeting is to log into the online learning community and the go to the Learning Dashboard. Log in using the button in the upper right corner, and you should be redirected back to the learning community. Select My Dashboard in the menu on the right column. In My Dashboard, click on the Virtual Meeting or your workshop title to access the programming.

If you are looking for a specific program, search for the date and title of the session first, then click that heading to expand the section and view talks. Click on a talk title to read the full abstract, and join the session (or view the archive) by selecting the view or join button.

Archived Sessions

Log in as directed above. Search for the date and title of the session, then click that heading to expand the section and view talks. Click on the talk title, then select the View Archived Recording button.

Audio

inconsistent audio

  • Make sure you are viewing using Chrome (preferred), Safari, or Edge.
  • Close other programs that use the internet, such as email, other browsers, or streaming services (music or podcasts, etc...).
  • Refresh your browser
  • Leave the meeting, clear your cookies and cache, then rejoin.
  • Try listening with headphones, if possible.
  • Connect to the internet with an ethernet cable rather than via WiFi, if possible.

Out of Sync Audio and Video 

  • Make sure you are viewing using Chrome (preferred), Safari, or Edge.
  • Close other programs that use the internet, such as email, other browsers, or streaming services (music or podcasts, etc...).

  • Leave the meeting, clear your cookies and cache, then rejoin.
  • Connect to the internet with an ethernet cable rather than via WiFi, if possible.

Alternatives to audio

  • View the scripts provided by some speakers in the Links section of the webinar (for live webinars only).
  • Enable your computer's built-in dictation function using the PC and Mac instructions below.

PC

  1.  Hold down the windows logo key + H to enable dictation.
  2. Open a text document and the audio from the live stream will auto-populate as text.

Mac

  1. Go to System Preferences > Dictation & Speech.
  2. Select the Enable Dictation box.
  3. Open a text document and the audio from the live stream will auto-populate as text.
