Preserving cultural heritage is essential, but it also presents complex challenges.
Conservation professionals partner with communities to define the needs of cultural heritage objects and advocate for their care, and while the end result of conservation is often very public and continues to involve those communities in ongoing stewardship, the work involved has historically not been very visible to others.
We have developed the following to help you engage with your community about the work being done to preserve cultural heritage at local, national, and international levels.
Outreach by the Public
Learn more about what conservation is and how you can get more involved, and explore ways to share conservation with your community.
Outreach by Members
We have assembled Outreach Resources for Members to help them engage with their communities as professionals.
