How can I become a National Heritage Responder?
In order to join NHR, interested persons must:
- Complete one of FAIC's trainings (regional or national), or the Smithsonian Cultural Rescue Initiative (SCRI) Heritage Emergency and Response Training (HEART).
- Pass an exam which covers material taught during training.
In addition to the core requirements, we consider geographic location and specialty when onboarding new responders. It is important to us to have responders located across the country, with a diverse set of skills.
Already completed an FAIC or SCRI training? Email email@example.com
for access to the exam. We onboard on an as-needed basis and cannot guarantee immediate admittance into NHR.
